Timoteo Briet: The expansion zone of the air in the diffuser; expansion, because the pressure is reduced; there is more pressure in the diffuser than on the ground. The diffuser produces little downforce, despite having less pressure than the outside.

Great view at the SF-24 diffuser thanks to Xavi. Take a closer look at the numbers written on the surface, each one identifies a small hole drilled in the carbon that is connected to probes used to measure static pressure and evaluate aerodynamic performance. ⤵️







Timoteo Briet: It is impressive to see the pressure measurement points on the diffuser; it is essential to know the optimum angle of the diffuser (called expansion angle) in order to get the highest possible downforce from the ground.

Claramente cóncavo el techo en los Mercedes, mientras que es casi plano en el Aston
