Los pilotos no están muy contentos con los cambios que se han introducido en el pit lane y que hacen que se pierdan varios segundos más que en temporadas anteriores. Esto hará que los equipos se decanten más por una estrategia a una única parada.

1. In previous years the Paul Ricard pit limit zone stopped at the dark line - this year it runs to the pit exit, adding 4-5 secs to stop times. The race director cited safety concerns should someone lose control under acceleration. These garages are used by F1, and not teams:






2. Sign shows new end to pit zone. FIA safety concerns included the base of the bridge, just behind the low barrier on the right:





3. The significance of the longer pit lane time is that it pushes teams towards one-stoppers. As @GeorgeRussell63 said: "It doesn't make things easier for strategy, because it doesn't make it to stop very attractive now."


4. @LandoNorris on the pit limiter extension: "We come out the box slower, but there's the compromise of that or going into a bridge on the right, which is a fair explanation, to be honest. It's a shame, because it makes it a bit tougher to do maybe different things."
