The Madring pit exit completely by-passes Turns 1 and 2 - and drivers arrive here some distance after turning the pit limiter off. And it is very tight! One team confirmed to me that drivers will be accelerating then braking. So time to be gained...:








Another Madring quirk. The teams at the far end of the pitlane, notably @Cadillac_F1 and @AlpineF1Team, are right next to Turn 1 - which is usually hundreds of metres away. Nice view!:

Here's another quirky thing at Madring. I'm standing in line with the P22 grid slot. The @Cadillac_F1 garage is almost half a kilometre away in the far distance. The guys have to get their pit trolleys back during the formation lap... It's going to be a race within a race!:

Something you don't often see - @pirellisport's magic gizmo which laser scans the track and does a calculation to determine the roughness of the surface:

The most random thing I've seen so far at Madring - an empty sardine tin in the pit entry...:

Finished my Madring lap. So what's the verdict? It's completely bonkers, and utterly magnificent. F1 cars are going to be sensationally quick in places, and any mistake punished, as the F3 test showed. It's going to be a weekend of drama one way or another...:

De mi primera carrera de karting en 2005 a mi primera carrera de F1 en Madrid. Para este casco quería volver a mis orígenes, recuperar aquel primer diseño inspirado en el de mi padre y darle mi toque actual. ¡Muchas ganas de estrenarlo en casa! 🇪🇸❤️

Reporting from the @madring_oficial with details on the Williams and a first look at the circuit; I need a scooter for a pit lane that's over 500 meters long, but I have to say my first impression is positive, I like it.

Estas son las condiciones de la pista.


Temperatura pista = 48 grados
Temperatura ambiente = 26.3 grados
Humedad = 17%
Air pressure = 943.3 mb (normalmente 1019mb) casi un 8% menos debido a la altitud.
