Sin palabras. FIA statement: "During the first period of Sprint Qualifying there was a human error in Race Control unrelated to the timing issue also encountered in SQ1. This issue in question meant Overtake Mode was not available after the red flag period during SQ1.
When it became apparent that Overtake Mode was not active after the restart, it was then activated for a period of 27 seconds before being deactivated again. The FIA acknowledges that this unfortunate human error had an impact on the performance of certain cars based on the timing of their run and their position around the lap. The second and third periods of Sprint Qualifying were not affected."

Resultados sesión CALIFICACIÓN SPRINT
Viernes, 9 de octubre de 2026
Un único intento le ha valido a Max VERSTAPPEN para llevarse la mini pole en Singapur.
Russell, con el paquete aerodinámico antiguo, ha logrado la 2ª posición mientras que Antonelli, con las novedades, ha terminado 7º.
Leclerc ha terminado 3º, tres décimas por delante de Hamilton, que decidió salir cuando algunos pilotos habían hecho su primer intento y se la jugó a una vuelta para acabar 6º.
Entre los Ferrari se han colado los McLaren de Piastri y Norris.
Lawson ha finalizado 8º, en parte gracias a que a Hadjar y Gasly les anularon su vuelta, por lo que acabaron 9º y 10º.
Ha sido una sesión marcada por la bandera roja de la SQ1, ya que después, varios pilotos tuvieron problemas de potencia. Eso y un problema con el timing hizo que la FIA tuviera que retrasar la SQ2.

Los que han hecho su primer intento han acabado así:

Russell logró pasar el corte en su última vuelta, con la que acabó 4º, entre Norris y Verstappen.
Colapinto hizo una buena última vuelta pero no fue suficiente para pasar el corte, que lo marca su compañero, que quedó a casi una décima por delante.
Como era de esperar, Alonso no ha podido pasar el corte.
Los eliminados en SQ2:
11 Colapinto
12 Hülkenberg
13 Bearman
14 Bortoleto
15 Fernando ALONSO
16 Ocon.

En la parte final de la sesión han anulado el modo adelantamiento, lo que ha perjudicado a varios pilotos.
Vuelve a ver follón porque Bortoleto aparecía fuera de la SQ1 y de repente lo han puesto 11º. Con Carlos al revés, de repente ha aparecido último sin que indiquen que le hayan anulado su tiempo.
Por si fuera poco, retrasan el inicio de la SQ2, aunque no dicen el por qué ni cuándo comenzará.
Los eliminados en SQ1 son:
17 Lindblad
18 Stroll
19 Albon
20 Checo Pérez
21 Bottas
