The fastest lap in F1 history 🚀 was set at Monza 🇮🇹: Verstappen's 1:18.792, averaging 264.7 km/h — beating Hamilton's 2020 record (264.4 km/h) by just 0.320 km/h (0.095s).

But how was it done? This F1 Insight powered by @awscloud shows exactly where the lap was won and lost 👇

🔵 T1–2 Rettifilo: Verstappen launches off the exit → +0.055s
🟠 Curva Grande (T3): Norris claws back speed on the long sweep → –0.038s
🔵 Roggia (T4–5): Verstappen precise on entry → +0.025s
🔵 Lesmo 1 & 2 (T6–7): Biggest swing — Verstappen commits harder → +0.055s
🟠 Ascari (T8–10): Norris edges exit speed → –0.020s
🟠 Parabolica (T11): Norris carries more minimum speed → –0.025s

By the flag, Verstappen's stronger exits turned traction into straight-line speed — enough to break Hamilton's four-year-old record and deliver history at the Temple of Speed 🇮🇹.

🔧 Key detail: Red Bull did it with the same Spa low-drag wing that won them the Sprint. Efficiency in a straight line + stability through Lesmo and Ascari = the perfect Monza package.

👉 The Temple of Speed 🇮🇹 isn't just about straights — it's about how you launch out of every corner. That's how the fastest lap in F1 history was built.
